Notice: The August meeting of the Belvidere Township Board will be held on Tuesday, August 18th at 7pm at the Belvidere Town Hall. This is a change from the usual meeting time of the second Tuesday of the month
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ESTABLISH A
SUBORDINATE SERVICE DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Supervisors of Belvidere Township will conduct a public hearing to consider the establishment of a Subordinate Service District (“SSD”) within an area graphically depicted on attached Exhibit A to provide for the general maintenance and long-term accountability of the anticipated 370th Street bituminous road improvement, including but not limited to pothole filling, patching, crack filling, sealcoating, bituminous overlay and full depth reconstruction purposes, for the benefit of all of the properties within the SSD pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, 365A and other applicable statutes. The Board of Supervisors will also consider Petitioners’ request that the services provided by the SSD as well as the expenses of creating the SSD be financed by the property owners within the SSD whose properties are put to a commercial or industrial use (which shall not include uses devoted solely to raising crops or raising livestock).
The public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th day of May 2026 at the Belvidere Town Hall located at 26529 370th Street, Goodhue, Minnesota 55027. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed SSD will be heard at this meeting.
